Oriol Guixà

Born in Barcelona, ​​married and with five children.

Industrial Engineer in the specialty in mechanics at the School of Industrial Engineers of Madrid and Aeronautical Engineer specialized in motors, missiles and propulsive motors in the School of Aeronautical Engineers of Madrid. Professor in the 80’s of mechanics and kinematics and machine dynamics at the School of Industrial Engineers of Barcelona.

He began his professional career at Montesa Motorcycles as Head of the Department of Innovation and Development, actively participating in the creation of the company alliance with the Japanese company Honda Motor Company and leading the winning trial team of the Championship of the World in the year 1980.

In 1984, he embarked on a new metallurgical project joining the industrial company La Farga Lacambra as shareholder and general director. Develops the patent for the copper recycling process and creates 3 new companies (La Farga Tub, La Farga Rod and La Farga Intec). It is a founding landlord of the La Farga Foundation, which owns the only Copper Museum in Europe, signs an alliance of companies with the Italian company Continuus Properzi for the sale of patented technology, sold in more than 30 countries around the world and, finally, it creates with local partners two new copper industrial companies, one in China and another in the United States. As of 2007, he delegates the General Management and becomes Managing Director of the family business group, Vice President of La Farga and one of the majority shareholders. In November 2015 he assumes the Group Presidency.

Among other positions, he is a member of the Plenary and Executive Committee of the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona, ​​responsible for the Delegations of the Barcelona

Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Patronage Commission of the University of Vic, Patron of FemCAT.

He was the Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Internationalization in 2006 and the “The best business career” prize of the magazine Actualidad Económica.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of Transmission.

Mireia Tomás

Born in Barcelona (1966), graduated in Business Administration and Management from ESADE Business & Law School (1984 – 1989) and PADE (Program in Senior Management) from IESE Business School.

She developed her professional career in Puig (1989 – 1993) and in Arbora & Ausonia (1993 – 1998) in the area of Marketing. From then on, she joined the family business as President of the Family Council and developed the family office.

She is currently a member of the Family and Patronage Council, patron of Fundación Carulla, patron of FERO representing Agrolimen, patron of Fundación Cataluña la Pedrera representing Fundación Carulla.
